Original Warm Oyster Circular Seaweed Print

As I sit and observe, I notice stretched along the Hartland coast, strings of seaweed float just below the surface of the salty water, some strung out by the tides amongst the sand and shells of a quiet beach. The gulls sing in the distance, competing with the soft breathing of the waves creeping in and out on the shores edge. The air is salty and misty as the morning cloud slowly clears and a gentle warming sun glows through the clouds as I collect treasures left by the ocean.

This print is a celebration of beauty found in the whimsical nature of seaweed. This is an original print of foraged Knotted Wrack and Channelled Wrack created in April 2025 as part of my Mystical Marine Gelli Print Collection, foraged on the Hartland shores. This gelli print was created using hand mixed warm nude acrylic paint, using a circular template and a handmade gelli plate to transfer the intricate shapes and details of the foraged ocean plants.
